A pigment material for use in a coating composition suitable for coating a sheet material to be printed by an electrophotographic printer which pigment material comprises a blend of Components A and B as follows: Component A: a fine pigment material suitable for gloss coating of a sheet material the pigment material comprising particles at least 80 % by weight of which have an equivalent spherical diameter ("esd") of less than 2µm and having a particle size distribution ("psd") such that its d50 value, namely the particle esd value less than which 50 % of the particles have an esd, is less than 1µm; and Component B: a coarse pigment material having a psd such that its d50 value is from 2µm to 10µm, desirably 2µm to 5 µm and such that not more than 2 % by weight of the particles of the coarse pigment material have an esd greater than 15µm, desirably not more than 2 % have an esd greater than 10µm; wherein the weight ratio of Component A to Component B is at least 4:1.

Matériau de pigmentation conçu pour être mis en application dans une composition de revêtement servant à revêtir une feuille sur laquelle une imprimante électrophotographique doit produire une impression, ledit matériau étant composé d'un mélange des constituants A et B comme suit: constituant A: matériau de pigmentation fin approprié pour conférer un brillant à la feuille et contenant des particules dont au moins 80 % en poids présente un diamètre sphérique équivalent ("esd") inférieur à 2µm et dont les dimensions sont réparties ("psd") de sorte que sa valeur d¿50?, à savoir la valeur esd moins laquelle 50 % des particules possèdent une valeur esd, est inférieure à 1µm; constituant B: matériau de pigmentation grossier possédant un psd de sorte que sa valeur d¿50? est située entre 2µm et 10µm, de préférence entre 2µm et 5µm et qu'une quantité non supérieure à 2 % en poids des particules du matériau de pigmentation grossier possède un esd supérieur à 15µm, de préférence, une quantité non supérieure à 2 % possède un esd supérieur à 10µm; le rapport de poids entre le constituant A et le constituant B étant d'au moins 4:1.
