Reflex pins for use in the manufacture of reflector assemblies or surfaces have three faces, the relative position of each face with respect to adjacent faces is 120°. According to the disclosure, selected cube faces of pins are cut to an angle that is adjusted from the convention angle of 120° whereby light reflected from a product of such reflex pins is redirected or redistributed from one area of the zone of reflectivity to substantially increase the intensity of light to the location of a viewer or a recording device's light sensitive element at another area of the zone of reflectivity. A method of making such pins is also disclosed.
Tiges réflectrices à trois faces utilisées dans la fabrication de blocs ou de surfaces de réflecteurs. La position relative de chacune des faces par rapport aux faces adjacentes est de 120 degrés. Selon la description, certaines faces cubiques des tiges sont coupées à un angle réglé en fonction de l'angle conventionnel de 120 degrés. La lumière réfléchie par un produit constitué de telles tiges réflectrices est réacheminée ou retransmise à partir d'une partie de la zone de réflectivité pour augmenter considérablement l'intensité de la lumière à l'endroit où est situé l'observateur ou l'élément photosensible de l'appareil enregistreur dans une autre partie de la zone de réflectivité. Une méthode de fabrication de ces tiges est également décrite.
