The instant invention relates to an anhydrous dentifrice (toothpaste, brushing gel, etc...). The dentifrice is a homogeneous mixture of the following compounds: (1) organic polyols, such as glycerin; (2) cooked starch gelling agents; (3) mildly abrasive fillers such as silica, alumina and dicalcium phosphate; and, optionally, (4) compounds selected from the group consisting of anticaries agents, anti-plaque agents, anti-calculus agents, bleaching agents, peroxide stabilizers, desensitizing agents, whiteners, anti-stain agents, breath fresheners, flavorants, sweeteners, colorants, buffers, surfactants, and anti-bacterial agents, with the proviso that if bleaching agents are employed then peroxide stabilizers must also be employed. Preferably, the dentifrice does not contain any gelling agent other than the cooked starch particles.

L'invention concerne un dentifrice anhydre (pâte dentifrice, gel, etc.). Ce dentifrice est constitué d'un mélange homogène des composés suivants : (1) des polyols organiques tels que la glycérine ; (2) des agents gélifiants à base d'amidon cuit ; (3) de matières de charge modérément abrasives telles que silice, alumine et phosphate dicalcique ; et éventuellement (4) des composés sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant les agents anti-carie, les agents anti-plaque, les agents anti-tartre, les agents de blanchiment, les stabilisateurs de peroxyde, les agents désensibilisants, les blanchissants, les agents anti-taches, les rafraîchisseurs d'haleine, les aromatisants, les édulcorants, les colorants, les tampons, les tensioactifs, et les agents anti-bactériens. L'utilisation d'un agent de blanchiment est obligatoirement accompagnée de l'utilisation de stabilisateurs de péroxyde. Ce dentifrice contient de préférence des particules d'amidon cuit à l'exclusion de tout autre agent gélifiant.
