Apparatus for transmitting information, by means of a communications network, to any one of a plurality of communications terminals connected to said network, which said transmission is in response to a failed communications attempt by any one of said terminals, which apparatus comprises: i) identification means for identifying a network address of a terminal making a failed communications attempt; ii) at least one storage means for storing a plurality of network addresses so identified; and iii) information transmission means for transmitting information to a terminal making a failed communications attempt; wherein said information transmission means is adapted to access said storage means, to locate a network address stored therein and to transmit said information to a network address so located.

L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à transmettre des informations, par le biais d'un réseau de télécommunications, à l'un quelconque des terminaux d'un ensemble terminaux de télécommunications connectés audit réseau, cette transmission faisant suite à une tentative de télécommunication infructueuse effectuée par l'un de ces terminaux. Ce dispositif comprend: i) des moyens d'identification d'une adresse réseau d'un terminal faisant une tentative infructueuse d'établissement d'une communication; ii) au moins un moyen de stockage de plusieurs adresses réseau ainsi identifiées; et iii) des moyens de transmission d'informations à un terminal faisant une tentative infructueuse d'établissement d'une communication, ces derniers moyens étant conçus pour accéder aux moyens de stockage, localiser une adresse réseau conservée dans ceux-ci et transmettre lesdites informations à une adresse réseau ainsi localisée.
