A method of determining the nature of subterranean strata. The transmitter antenna (11) is towed by vessel (12) at a distance h above the sea floor (13). The antenna (11) in its wave field whose strength is proportional to the current delivered to the antenna (11) and this is monitored. The input voltage to the antenna is also measured and changes in antenna impedance are calculated. Changes in antenna impedance are used together with seismic information to determine the nature of the subsea strata.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de détermination de la nature de strates sous-terraines. L'antenne émettrice (11) est remorquée par vaisseau (12) à une distance h au-dessus du fond marin (13). L'antenne (11) émet un champ d'ondes dont la force est proportionnelle au courant fourni à l'antenne (11) et ceci est surveillé. La tension d'entrée vers l'antenne est également mesurée et des changements d'impédance d'antenne sont calculés. Des changements d'impédance d'antenne sont utilisés avec des informations sismiques afin de déterminer la nature des strates sous-marines.
