To improve wear on the trailing edges of heavy truck tire treads, whose elements are delimited axially by circumferential grooves and circumferentially by incisions not nil to at most 3 mm in width. The incisions are inclined in relation to normal to the surface of the tread by an alpha angle from 5° to 25°, so that the resulting force (FF, FM) exerted by the ground on the tread tends to straighten the incisions to nil inclination. The inclination of the incisions is particularly beneficial in the case of treads with wide circumferential treads with ribs. The invention has applications in directing, carrying or driving tires.

Afin d'améliorer l'usure des bords de fuite des éléments en relief d'une bande de roulement pour pneumatique "Poids Lourd", éléments délimités dans le sens axial par des rainures circonférentielles et dans le sens circonférentiel par des incisions de largeur non nulle au plus égale à 3 mm, lesdites incisions sont inclinées par rapport à la normale à la surface de la bande de roulement d'un angle .alpha. compris entre 5° et 25° de sorte que la force résultante (FF, FM) exercée par le sol sur la bande de roulement, tende à redresser les incisions vers une inclinaison nulle. L'inclinaison des incisions se montre particulièrement avantageuse, dans le cas de bande de roulement pourvu de rainures circonférentielles larges munies d'un redent. L'invention trouve une application dans les pneumatiques directeurs, porteurs ou moteurs.
