2072022 9109779 PCTABS00005 A package of the type having a tray (11) with recessed compartments (20-26) for receiving food products or the like (20a-26a) the tray being covered by a thin flexible and preferably transparent film (30) which seals the products in their respective compartments (20-26). The outer enclosure is formed by a stiff collar (12) which completely encircles the tray (11) with the sides of the collar (12) turned downwardly and inwardly to provide frictional and resilient engagement of the collar (12) with the sides of the tray. The collar also includes a stiff support flap (45, 46) which enables it to stand on end.
