Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm on a surface is eradicated or at least reduced using a microbiocidally effective amount of at least one of the following bromine-based microbiocides: i) an alkali or alkaline earth metal bromide salt or zinc bromide activated by a water-soluble alkali or alkaline earth metal hypochlorite, ii) a water-soluble N,N'-bromochloro-5,5-dialkylhydantoin, and/or iii) a water-soluble active bromine product formed by mixing (a) bromine, bromine chloride, a mixture of bromine chloride and bromine or a combination of bromine and chlorine in which the molar amount of chlorine does not exceed the molar amount of bromine, and (b) a water-soluble source of sulfamate anion, in (c) an aqueous medium, which aqueous medium is adjusted to a pH of at least 12 either during or after such mixing.
La présente invention concerne l'élimination définitive, ou au moins l'atténuation, du mucilage de Pseudomonas aeruginosa sur une surface au moyen d'une quantité microbicidement suffisante de l'un au moins des microbicides bromés suivants: i) un bromure de métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux ou un bromure de zinc activé par un hypochlorite alcalin ou de métal alcalino-terreux hydrosoluble, ii) une a N,N'-bromochloro-5,5-dialkylhydantoïne hydrosoluble, et/ou iii) un produit bromé actif hydrosoluble obtenu en prenant, d'une part (a) du brome, du chlorure de brome, un mélange de chlorure de brome et de brome, ou une combinaison de brome et de chlore dans lequel la teneur molaire du chlore n'excède pas la teneur molaire du brome, et d'autre part (b) une source hydrosoluble d'anion sulfamate, et en les mélangeant dans (c) un milieu aqueux dont le pH est réglé pour rester au moins à 12 pendant ou après un tel mélange.
