Description

On carrying out metallurgical processes in plant components, such as, for example, a converter, knowledge of the time-dependent exhaust gas composition provides a significant aid in providing information about the process advancement. Conventional analytical methods involve taking a defined volume from the exhaust flow (7) and then analysing said exhaust sample. The disadvantage of said analytical technique based on sampling is the time delay until the analytical result can be obtained after the taking of the sample. According to the invention, a non-contact exhaust analysis is carried out using FTIR spectrometry without a time delay, whereby the spectra obtained from a FTIR spectrometer (2) are used to calculate the exhaust gas composition by means of a previously determined mathematical relationship.

Lors de l'exécution de processus métallurgiques dans des parties d'installation, telles qu'un convertisseur, la connaissance de la composition des fumées variable dans le temps constitue une ressource importante permettant de fournir des informations sur l'avancement des processus. Des procédés d'analyse connus consistent à prélever un volume limité du flux de fumées (7) puis à analyser cet échantillon de fumées. L'inconvénient de ce procédé d'analyse fondé sur l'échantillonnage est le retard temporel avec lequel le résultat d'analyse peut être obtenu après l'échantillonnage. Selon la présente invention, une analyse sans contact des fumées est exécutée sans retard temporel par spectrométrie infrarouge à transformée de Fourier (IRTF), les spectres obtenus d'un spectromètre IRTF (2) étant utilisés pour calculer la composition des fumées à l'aide d'un modèle mathématique prédéterminé.
