Pressure loss in gas in a gas flow path in a cell is reduced as necessary. In a fuel cell having a cell structure wherein a gas flow path is formed with expansion metal, bond sections (BO) that connect the mesh of expansion metal (28) rise at positions where the bond length is partially shortened and form a part of strand sections (ST). Therefore, when openings (30) formed by the mesh of expansion metal (28) are viewed in direction FD, the area in which front and back openings (30) overlap in direction TD increases. The cross-sectional area of the gas flow path constructed by the connection in the direction FD of the openings (30) that overlap in the direction TD is increased. The result is that gas (GF) flows through the gas flow path without repeating small turns, and decreased gas pressure loss is achieved.

L'invention concerne une pile à combustible caractérisée par une réduction adéquate de la chute de pression d'un gaz sur un trajet d'écoulement de gaz. La pile à combustible comprend une structure cellulaire formant un trajet d'écoulement de gaz constitué d'un métal extensible, les segments de liaison (BO) qui solidarisent la maille du métal extensible (28) étant rehaussés de manière à raccourcir partiellement la liaison et à former une partie des segments de base (ST). Si l'on regarde les ouvertures (30) formées par la maille de métal extensible (28) suivant la direction FD, on constate alors un accroissement de la surface de chevauchement suivant la direction TD des ouvertures de devant et de derrière (30). L'accroissement de la section du trajet d'écoulement de gaz formé par l'enchaînement suivant la direction FD des ouvertures (30) qui se chevauchent suivant la direction TD permet au gaz (GF) de suivre le trajet d'écoulement de gaz sans changements de direction répétés, d'où une réduction de la chute de pression.
