Particulate sorbent compositions comprising a mixture of zinc oxide, silica, alumina and a substantially reduced valence nickel are provided for the desulfurization of a feedstrean of cracked- gasoline or diesel fuels in a desulfurization zone by a process which comprises the contacting of such feedstreams in a desulfurization zone followed by separation of the resulting low sulfur-containing stream and sulfurized-sorbent and thereafter regenerating and activating the separated sorbent before recycle of same to the desulfurization zone.
La présente invention concerne des compositions sorbantes particulaires renfermant un mélange d'oxyde de zinc, de silice, d'alumine et de nickel à valence sensiblement réduite, utilisées pour la désulfuration d'un débit d'entrée d'essence de craquage ou de combustibles diesel dans une zone de désulfuration par un procédé qui consiste d'abord à mettre en contact ce débit d'entrée avec une zone de désulfuration, à séparer ensuite le flux à faible teneur en soufre et le sorbant sulfurisé obtenus, et enfin, à régénérer et activer le sorbant séparé avant de le recycler dans la zone de désulfuration.
