The invention concerns a blank for making an endodontic instrument using a grinding technique, characterized in that it comprises a cylindrical portion (1) and a generally conical portion (2) designed to be machined, said machined portion forming the active part (3) of the final endodontic instrument. The generally conical portion (2) constituting the housing (8) of the final shape provided to the endodontic instrument after machining. The invention also concerns the method for making an endodontic instrument provided with at least one lip with helical cross-section using the inventive blank.
La présente invention concerne une ébauche permettant la fabrication d'un instrument endodontique au moyen d'une technique de meulage, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte une portion cylindrique (1) et une partie généralement conique (2) destinée à être usinée, laquelle partie usinée formant la partie active (3) de l'instrument endodontique définitif. La partie généralement conique (2) constituant l'enveloppe (8) de la forme définitive conférée à l'instrument endodontique après usinage. L'invention concerne également le procédé de fabrication d'un instrument endodontique pourvu d'au moins une lèvre de coupe hélicoïdale utilisant une ébauche telle que précédemment décrite.
