Mechanical system will fully automated control for the storage of objects, especially motor vehicles or containers, comprising a central processing unit, at least one access lane (14 or 16), storage cells (24, 26) on either side of said access lane and longitudinally oriented at an angle of 30-60 DEG to the access lane, at least one carriage (18, 22) including a chassis on wheels with one autonomous traction mechanism and guide means for moving the carriage along the access lane and in the storage cells. The carriage comprises pivoting means causing it to pivot about the point of intersection between the axis of symmetry (16) of the access lane and the axis of symmetry (28) of the cell in which the vehicle is to be loaded or unloaded. In this way, the guide means are brought along the axis of symmetry of the cell, enabling the carriage to be introduced therein and the vehicle to be loaded or unloaded.

Installation mécanisée à gestion entièrement automatisé pour le stockage d'objets notamment de véhicules automobiles ou de conteneurs, comprenant une unité centrale de gestion, au moins une piste de circulation (14 ou 16), des cellules de rangement (24, 26) réparties de part et d'autre de la piste de circulation et orientées longitudinalement selon un angle compris entre 30° et 60° par rapport à la piste de circulation au moins un chariot (18, 22) comportant un châssis sur roues doté d'un moyen d'entraînement autonome et de moyens de guidage pour permettre de déplacer le chariot le long de la piste de circulation et à l'intérieur des cellules de rangement. Le chariot comprend un moyen de pivotement pour le faire pivoter autour du point d'intersection entre l'axe de symétrie (16) de la piste de circulation et l'axe de symétrie (28) de la cellule dans laquelle doit être chargé ou déchargé le véhicule de manière à amener les moyens de guidage le long dudit axe de symétrie de la cellule pour faire pénétrer le chariot dans celle-ci et procéder au chargement ou au déchargement du véhicule.
