A slow cooker and method of cooking with a slow cooker is provided. The slow cooker (100) has a base unit (5) with a housing defining a heating chamber for heating and retaining a cooking basin placed therein, a lid (20) for covering the cooking basin (15), and at least two cooking controls (35, 40) for controlling a time and a temperature for cooking at a first desired temperature and maintaining a cooked item at a second desired temperature. The method of cooking preferably includes at least two cooking controls (35, 40) cooperating to operate the slow cooker so that at the end of a cooking time at the first desired temperature set by the at least two cooking controls, the slow cooker (100) operates to heat the cooking chamber to the second desired setting.

L'invention concerne une mijoteuse et un procédé de cuisson correspondant. La mijoteuse comprend une unité de base pourvue d'un boîtier définissant une chambre de cuisson destinée au chauffage et au logement d'un panier de cuisson, un couvercle destiné à recouvrir le panier de cuisson et au moins deux dispositifs de commande permettant de régler un temps et une température de cuisson à une première température souhaitée et à conserver un produit cuit à une deuxième température souhaitée.
