Techniques for performing duplicate detection and re-ordering for a HARQ transmission are described. For duplicate detection, a receiver determines whether a decoded packet x for an ARQ channel y is a duplicate packet based on packet x and a prior decoded packet for ARQ channel y. For re-ordering, the receiver determines whether an earlier packet is still pending on any other ARQ channel based on prior decoded packets for the ARQ channels and forwards packet x only if there are no pending earlier packets. There are no pending earlier packets on another ARQ channel z if (1) a decoded packet was received on ARQ channel z at a designated time or later or (2) a decoded packet was not received on ARQ channel z within a time window from current time.

L'invention concerne des techniques permettant d'assurer une détection en double et un réordonnancement pour une transmission HARQ. La technique de détection en double consiste à utiliser un récepteur qui détermine si un paquet décodé x pour un canal ARQ y est un paquet en double en fonction du paquet x et d'un paquet précédemment décodé pour le canal ARQ y. La technique de réordonnancement consiste à utiliser le récepteur pour déterminer si un paquet précédent est toujours en attente sur un autre canal ARQ en fonction des paquets précédemment décodés pour les canaux ARQ et à transmettre le paquet x uniquement en l'absence de paquets précédents en attente. Il n'y a pas de paquets précédents en attente sur un autre canal ARQ z si : (1) un paquet décodé a été reçu sur le canal ARQ z à un moment précis ou plus tard, ou si (2) un paquet décodé n'a pas été reçu sur le canal ARQ z dans une fenêtre temporelle à partir d'un moment ponctuel.
