The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a split nozzle arrangement, i.e. a nozzle arrangement consisting of at least two parts which can be releasably or permanently connected together, each of said parts having an abutment surface which, when in contact, define an inlet, outlet and fluid flow passage, which connects the inlet to the outlet, of the nozzle arrangement. The method of the invention comprises the steps of injecting a mixture of a plastic base material and a foaming or blowing agent into the mould of the nozzle arrangement, allowing the plastic base material to set or harden and subsequently removing the final moulded nozzle arrangement from the mould. The foaming or blowing agent produces bubbles or pockets of gas plastic base material and thus form a final moulded article in which at least 90% of the bubbles or pockets of gas have a maxiumum dimension of 0.5 millimeters or less. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the plastics base material is a thermoplastic material and the foaming or blowing agent is a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and acetic acid.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un ensemble buse fendue, c'est-à-dire un ensemble buse composé d'au moins deux parties qui peuvent être reliées l'une à l'autre de façon amovible ou permanente, chacune de ces parties possédant une surface de butée qui, lorsqu'elle est en contact, définit un orifice d'entrée, un orifice de sortie et un passage d'écoulement de fluide qui relie l'orifice d'entrée à l'orifice de sortie de l'ensemble buse. Le procédé de cette invention comprend les étapes consistant à injecter un mélange d'un matériau de base plastique et d'un agent moussant ou d'expansion dans le moule de l'ensemble buse, à permettre au matériau de base plastique de prendre ou de durcir, puis à éliminer l'ensemble buse moulé final du moule. L'agent moussant ou d'expansion produit des bulles ou des poches de gaz dans le matériau de base plastique et ainsi forme un article moulé final dans lequel au moins 90 % des bulles ou poches de gaz possèdent une dimension maximale inférieure ou égale à 0,5 millimètres. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de cette invention, le matériau de base plastique est un matériau thermoplastique et l'agent moussant ou d'expansion est un mélange de bicarbonate de soude et d'acide acétique.
