- 14 - TIRE CHANGER ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A pneumatic tire changer has a base that engages one side of a wheel. Two bead deflecting tools engage either under or over a bead depending on whether a tire is to be removed or installed. The tools are then rotated in opposite directions on the base to force the bead over the rim. The changer is a portable, manually operated tool.
