To permit ready exchange of plate cylinder (13) - blanket cylinder (12) printing couples of different circumferences in a printing machine, the blanket cylinder - plate cylinder printing couple is retained in a cassette (8), with adjustment elements (282, 281, 26) to control the throw-off position of the blanket cylinder in the cassette. The adjustment elements are selectively engageable or disengageable against matching adjustment elements (284, 283) in the printing tower (9). The printing tower adjustably supports an impression cylinder (11) located above the blanket cylinder, when the cassette is installed in the tower, so that printing will be from below. Ink application rollers (361, 362, 363) are force-biassed against the respective plate cylinders, and movable in a slide path which is radial with respect to the plate cylinder of the respective diameter, under control of slide feelers (161, 162, 163) engaging a stationary ring (213) in the cassette concentric with the plate cylinder. The impression setting of the impression cylinder (11) is determined by a bearer ring setting element (29) on the cassette, engaged by a support arm (22) for the impression cylinder. The cassette is removable in a removal path (15b) which has an upward movement component, so that it can be picked up by a hoist (17), after removing the web from between the impression cylinder (11) and the blanket cylinder (12), which is below the impression cylinder, and after swinging the impression cylinder out-of-alignment with the cylinders in the cassette.
Pour favoriser le transfert entre le cylindre porte-plaque (13) et le cylindre porte-blanchet (12) dans un couple de cylindres d'impression de circonférences différentes dans une machine à imprimer, le couple de cylindres porte-plaque et porte-blanchet est logé dans une cassette (8) dotée d'organes de réglage (282, 281 et 26) permettant de régler la position de déversement du cylindre porte-blanchet à l'intérieur de la cassette. Les organes de réglage peuvent être couplés ou non aux organes du dispositif de réglage (284 et 283) de la tour d'impression (9). La tour d'impression sert de support réglable à un cylindre d'impression (11) situé au-dessus du cylindre porte-blanchet lorsque la cassette est montée à l'intérieur de la tour, de telle sorte que l'impression est effectuée par en-dessous. Des rouleaux encreurs (361, 362 et 363) maintenus en appui contre les cylindres porte-plaque respectifs, peuvent coulisser dans une direction radiale par rapport au cylindre porte-plaque du diamètre respectif, sous le contrôle d'une commande à palpeurs (161, 162 et 163) en prise avec une bague stationnaire (213) logée à l'intérieur de la cassette et montée concentriquement par rapport au cylindre porte-plaque. Les paramètres d'impression du cylindre d'impression (11) sont déterminés par le positionnement d'une bague porteuse commandée par un dispositif de réglage monté sur la cassette, un bras de support (22) assurant la liaison avec le cylindre d'impression. Après enlèvement de la bande en défilement entre le cylindre d'impression (11) et le cylindre porte-blanchet (12), positionné en-dessous du cylindre d'impression, et après le dégagement et le désalignement du cylindre d'impression par rapport aux autres cylindres, la cassette, amovible, peut être retirée de l'installation au moyen d'un palan (17) à travers une fenêtre d'extraction (15b) dotée d'un mécanisme à mouvement ascendant.
