An absorbent article (20) having a periphery defined by a front waist region (31), a rear waist region (33), and a crotch region (35) intermediate the front waist region and the rear waist region. The diaper further including a liquid pervious topsheet (24), a backsheet joined to the topsheet, an absorbent core intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet (26), and a pair of upstanding barrier leg cuffs (32). Each barrier leg cuff (32) extending from a proximal (46) end to a distal end (48) spaced from the proximal end (46). The barrier led cuffs (32) being generally longitudinally oriented and at least one of the barrier leg cuffs (32) having an activated region (50) located in at least a portion of the crotch region (35). The absorbent article (20) also includes a generally laterally oriented transverse partition (38), at least a portion of the partition being joined to the topsheet (24) at a proximal end (46) and extending outwardly therefrom to a distal end (48), at least a portion the transverse partition (38) being joined to each of the barrier leg cuffs (32) juxtaposed the activated region (50) such that when fitted on a wearer, the distal edge (48) of the transverse partition (38) is spaced apart from the topsheet (24).
L'invention concerne un article absorbant (20) présentant un contour défini par un empiècement antérieur (31) de la taille, un empiècement postérieur (33) de la taille et un empiècement (35) pour l'entrejambe, situé entre ledit empiècement antérieur de la taille et ledit empiècement postérieur de la taille. La couche comprend également une feuille supérieure (24) perméable à l'eau, une feuille postérieure reliée à la feuille supérieure, une âme absorbante située entre ladite feuille supérieure et ladite feuille postérieure (26), et deux manchons d'arrêt (32) relevés. Chaque manchon d'arrêt (32) relevé s'étend d'une extrémité proximale (46) à une extrémité distale (48) espacée de ladite extrémité proximale (46). Les manchons d'arrêt (32) relevés sont généralement longitudinaux et au moins un desdits manchons d'arrêt (32) relevés présente une région activée (50), située dans au moins une partie de l'empiècement (35) pour l'entrejambe. L'article absorbant (20) comprend également une cloison transversale (38) généralement latérale, au moins une partie de ladite cloison étant reliée à la feuille supérieure (24) à une extrémité proximale (46) et s'étendant à l'extérieur de ladite extrémité proximale en direction de l'extrémité distale (48). Au moins une partie de la cloison transversale (38) est reliée à chaque manchon d'arrêt (32) relevé juxtaposé à la région activée (50), de manière à ce qu'une fois la couche portée, le bord distal (48) de la cloison transversale (38) soit éloigné de la feuille supérieure (24).
