A filter assembly for use in the CATV industry includes a circuit formed by components mounted upon a circuit board with paths on the board connecting each section of the circuit to a ground bus. The paths are of very short length to avoid the presence of inductive and/or resistive parasitics in the paths. An inner portion of a cylindrical housing includes a pair of open slots on opposite sides of the cylinder extending from one end for part of the length. The circuit board has side edge strips of conducting metal extending along both the top and bottom surfaces of the board. The widths of the slots in the inner housing portion are greater than the thicknesses of the respective edge portions of the circuit board, while the outside diameter of the inner housing portion is slightly greater than the distance between the outer edges of the board.
Un assemblage de filtrage pour utilisation dans l'industrie de la cablodistribution comprend un circuit formé par des composantes montées sur une carte à circuit avec des trajectoires sur la carte reliant chaque section du circuit à une barre omnibus de mise à la terre. Les trajectoires sont de longueur très courte pour éviter la présence de parasites inductifs et/ou résistifs dans les trajectoires. Une partie intérieure d'un boîtier cylindrique comporte une paire de fentes ouvertes sur les côtés opposées du cylindre et s'étendant d'une extrémité d'une partie de la longueur. La carte à circuit possède des bandes de bords latérales en métal conducteur s'étendant le long de la surface supérieure et de la surface inférieure de la carte. Les largeurs des fentes dans le boîtier intérieur sont supérieures aux épaisseurs des bords respectifs de la carte à circuit, tandis que le diamètre extérieur du boîtier intérieur est légèrement supérieur à la distance entre les bords extérieurs de la carte.
