Automatic provision or registration of an enhanced-service that has not yet been provisioned for that service is detected and processed within a mobile system. Upon introduction into a mobile communication system, the mobile unit is detected as enhanced-service capable and non-provisioned. A configuration message including information is transmitted to the mobile unit. This information enables the mobile unit to manage the enhanced service. In addition, a detection signal, including a service agreement identifier associated with the mobile unit is transmitted to an enhanced-service center comprising an enhanced-service database or register. The center registers the mobile unit as enhanced-service capable by updating the database based on the received service agreement identifier.

L'invention concerne la détection et le traitement à l'intérieur d'un système de communication mobile d'une mise à disposition automatique ou d'un enregistrement automatique d'un service amélioré non encore fourni. Une unité mobile ayant accédé à un système de communication mobile, elle est détectée comme étant apte à recevoir un service amélioré et non encore bénéficiaire de ce service. Un message de configuration comprenant une information est envoyé à l'unité mobile, cette information lui permettant de gérer le service amélioré. En outre, un signal de détection contenant un identifiant d'accord de service associé à l'unité mobile est envoyé à un centre de mise à disposition de services améliorés, lequel est équipé d'une banque de données ou d'un registre de services améliorés. Ce centre enregistre l'unité mobile comme étant apte à recevoir un service amélioré par l'actualisation de la banque de données sur la base de l'identifiant d'accord de service reçu.
