The invention relates to the development and use of monoclonal antibodies specific to antigens of low immunogenicity. The present invention provides methods of producing monoclonal antibodies by chemically conjugating the antigen of interest to a carrier molecule that enables the immune system to respond to immunization with the conjugated antigen. The invention also provides particular compositions of conjugated antigens as well as of monoclonal antibodies specific for those conjugated antigens. The present invention also provides kits for use in detecting disease conditions using the monoclonal antibodies.
L'invention concerne le développement et l'utilisation d'anticorps monoclonaux spécifiques d'antigènes présentant habituellement une faible antigénicité. L'invention concerne également des méthodes de production d'anticorps monoclonaux consistant à conjuguer chimiquement l'antigène d'intérêt à une molécule porteuse qui permet au système immunitaire de répondre à l'immunisation à l'aide de l'antigène conjugué. L'invention concerne en outre des compositions particulières d'antigènes conjugués et d'anticorps monoclonaux spécifiques de ces antigènes conjugués. L'invention concerne enfin des trousses destinées à être utilisées dans la détection d'états pathologiques au moyen des anticorps monoclonaux.
