Form 24 Abstract When health care workers must draw blood from a patient for specimen collection it is known that there is a danger of accidental needlestick injuries in the non dominant hand as it holds vacutainer or blood specimen bottles to be injected with blood. The proposed safety device provides a stable platform for blood collection tubes and bottles. This allows the health care worker to inject blood into the specimen containers without having to hold on to them directly.
