The aim of the invention is to provide an ink jet recording material, whereby especially the problem of the light stability of the prints, i.e. the oxidative decomposition of the organic dyestuffs in the ink, is eliminated. To this end, chitosan or a derivative thereof is used as a colour fixing agent in an ink absorption layer of ink jet recording materials.

L'objectif de cette invention est de fournir un matériau pour impression à jet d'encre permettant, en particulier, d'améliorer la stabilité à la lumière des imprimés, c.-à-d. d'empêcher la décomposition oxydative des colorants organiques des encres. A cet effet, le chitosane, ou un dérivé de ce dernier, est utilisé comme fixateur de couleurs dans une couche d'absorption des couleurs de matériaux pour impression à jet d'encre.
