Devices and methods are provided for creating a closed delivery pathway for a radioactive source. In one aspect, the device can be a tube having a connector adapted to mate with an afterloader on its proximal end and a closed distal end portion that can be inserted into a treatment applicator, to effect formation of the closed delivery pathway. The tube can also include an applicator connector disposed between its proximal and distal ends for removably connecting to the treatment applicator.
La présente invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés qui permettent de créer un passage d'apport fermé pour une source radioactive. Selon un aspect, le dispositif peut être un tuyau équipé d'un connecteur prévu pour s'accoupler à un dispositif de postcharge situé sur son extrémité proximale et une partie d'extrémité distale fermée qui peut être insérée dans un applicateur de traitement, pour assurer la formation du passage d'apport fermé. Le tuyau peut également comporter un connecteur d'applicateur situé entre ses extrémités proximale et distale pour assurer la connexion détachable à l'applicateur de traitement.
