A cavity is provided in a face of at least one of the side walls of a soap bar, the cavity has a predetermined shape and depth whereby to receive therein a soap bar residue which, when moisture is present, will adhere to a bottom wall of the cavity and become an integral part of the soap bar. Accordingly, used soap bar residues are automatically recycled with a new soap bar.
