A combination tooth care implement comprising a handle unit (2) and a pivoting arm (7) having first and second ends (7a, 7b) at which respective ends a tooth brush head (8) and a single-use dental floss head (9) are releasably mounted. The arm can be pivoted between first and second positions with respect to the handle unit. In the first position, a portion of the arm containing the tooth brush head extends away from the handle such that the implement can be used as a toothbrush, and the remaining portion containing the dental floss head is concealed in a cavity provided in the handle unit such that the dental floss head does not interfere with the function of the tooth brush. In the second position, the arm is pivoted such that the tooth brush head and the dental floss head switch positions and the implement can be used as a dental floss. A lock means is provided for locking the arm in the first or second position with respect to the handle.
Linvention concerne un instrument combiné de soins dentaires comprenant un élément poignée (2) et un bras pivotant (7) possédant des première et seconde extrémités (7a, 7b), une tête pour brosse à dents (8) et une tête pour soie dentaire à usage unique (9) étant montées libérables sur chacune des extrémités, respectivement. Le bras peut pivoter entre une première position et une seconde position par rapport à lélément poignée. Dans la première position, une partie du bras contenant la tête pour brosse à dents sétend à partir de la poignée de telle manière que linstrument peut alors être utilisé comme brosse à dents, et la partie restante contenant la tête pour soie dentaire est dissimulée dans une cavité ménagée dans lélément poignée de telle façon que la tête pour soie dentaire ne perturbe pas le fonctionnement de la brosse à dents. Dans la seconde position, le bras pivote de telle manière que la tête pour brosse à dents et la tête pour soie dentaire permutent leurs positions, et loutil peut alors être utilisé comme soie dentaire. Un moyen de verrouillage permet de bloquer le bras par rapport à lélément poignée, dans la première position ou dans la seconde position.
