The invention relates to a method for producing dialkylphosphinic acid salts, characterised in that a) elemental yellow phosphor is reacted with alkyl halides in the presence of alkali or alkaline-earth hydroxide to form a mixture containing the salts of alkylphosphonous, phosphorous and hypophosphorous acids as the principal constituents; b) the mixture is adjusted to a pH of less than 7 and then reacted with olefins in the presence of a radical starter and c) the dialkylphosphinic acids and/or their alkali salts obtained according to b) are reacted with metal compounds of Mg, Ca, Al, Sb, Sn, Ge, Ti, Zn, Fe, Zr, Ce, Bi, Sr, Mn, Li, Na, and/or K to form dialkylphosphinic acid salts of the metals. The invention also relates to the use of the dialkylphosphinic acid salts of metals obtained according to the inventive method for producing flameproofing agents.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour la préparation de sels des acides dialkylphosphiniques, caractérisé en ce que l'on fait réagir a) du phosphore jaune élémentaire avec des halogénures d'alkyle en présence d'hydroxyde alcalin ou alcalino-terreux pour former un mélange contenant comme constituants principaux les sels des acides alkylphosphoniques, phosphoreux et hypophosphoreux, et en ce que l'on ajuste b) ce mélange à un pH inférieur à 7 pour le faire ensuite réagir avec des oléfines en présence d'un initiateur radicalaire, et en ce que l'on fait réagir c) les acides dialkylphosphiniques et/ou leurs sels alcalins, obtenus selon b), avec des composés métalliques de Mg, Ca, Al, Sb, Sn, Ge, Ti, Zn, Fe, Zr, Ce, Bi, Sr, Mn, Li, Na et/ou K pour former les sels des acides dialkyles phosphiniques de ces métaux. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation des sels des acides dialkylphosphiniques de ces métaux, préparés selon ce procédé, pour la fabrication d'agents ignifuges.
