Concrete blocks (1) with an open cell structure (6) extending throughout the entirety of the block are assembled in substantially parallel columns and rows to form a mat structure capable of articulating over underwater structures. The blocks are assembled by flexible cables that pass through the center of each block through perpendicular apertures (7a,7b), which are located on different horizontal planes to prevent intersection of the cables. A removable abrasive resistant pad (9) is placed on one surface of the blocks to prevent the concrete block from causing damage to the structure. The pad is comprised of a solid base with an opening matching the opening on the block. It also has a plurality of upwardly extending posts (11) which serve as a contact point between the pad and the underwater structure and at least one self-locking dowel (12) extending downward, which are inserted into dowel holes (13) on one surface of the block, after the concrete has hardened. The entire pad is one homogenous material. This size of the mat is capable of being dynamically modified at the site of installation to accommodate various situations.
Des blocs de ciment dotés d'une structure à alvéole ouverte qui s'étend à travers la globalité du bloc sont assemblés dans des rangées et colonnes parallèles pour former une structure de béton de propreté qui peut s'articuler sur des structures sous-marines. Les blocs sont assemblés par des câbles flexibles qui passent à travers le centre de chaque bloc par des ouvertures perpendiculaires qui sont situées sur différents plans horizontaux afin d'empêcher l'intersection des câbles. Un tampon amovible résistant à l'abrasion est placé sur une surface des blocs pour empêcher le bloc de béton d'endommager la structure. Le tampon se compose d'une base solide pourvue d'une ouverture correspondant à l'ouverture sur le bloc, de plusieurs montants s'étendant vers le haut qui servent de points de contact entre le tampon et la structure sous-marine et au moins un goujon à verrouillage automatique s'étendant vers le bas, qui sont introduits dans des trous de goujon sur une surface du bloc, une fois que le béton a durci. L'ensemble du tampon est constitué d'un matériau homogène. La taille du béton de propreté peut être dynamiquement modifiée sur le site de l'installation pour répondre à diverses situations.
