It relates to magazines (containers) for compact discs, stereo and/or video cassettes in which a plurality of magazine modules are firmly but releasably connected in vertical and/or horizontal array by means of one or more bayonet connections between two joined magazine modules (1, 2, 13). In the vertical arrangement, the modules (1, 2, 13) of the magazine (modular/extendable container) have drillings (6) or (7) in the top (3) and base (4) which coincide and into which a bayonet screw (5) with a flat head (8) and a cam-like bayonet attachment (9) is inserted at the opposite end. The drilling (6) in the base (4) is stepped in such a way that the flat head (8) of the bayonet screw (5) is flush with the base surface. The drilling (7) in the top (3) has a cam-like projection (11) beneath which engages the bayonet attachment (9) of the bayonet screw (5) after passing through the drilling (6) of the module (2) and the drilling (7) in the module (3). If there are several bayonet connections between two modules (1, 2, 13), it is advantageous to make alternate drillings (6 and 6') in the base (4) and drillings (7 and 7') in the top (3), whereby the design of drilling (6') corresponds to that of drilling (7) and that of drilling (7') to that of drilling (6). In magazines in which the modules (1, 2 13) are joined horizontally, drillings (6, 6') and (7, 7') are made in the side walls of the modules.
