L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un système automatisé de remboursement de la partie non utilisée d'un ticket électronique. Conformément audit procédé, une période de validité est définie et est ajoutée à la date de départ prévue du ticket délivré. Si la date de départ prévue additionnée de la période de validité correspond à une date antérieure à la date du jour, il est prévu de déterminer si le ticket a été utilisé. Si le ticket n'a pas été utilisé, la valeur résiduelle de ce ticket est calculée et un remboursement est effectué.
