An apparatus and method for producing reservoir fluids through a wellbore wherein the reservoir fluids enter the wellbore and separate into a liquid and a gas phase at a gas pressure. The apparatus includes a first pump for pumping the liquid phase towards the surface and a pump drive for driving the first pump. The pump drive is powered using the gas pressure in the wellbore. An intake communicates with the gas phase in the wellbore to direct it to the pump drive to power the pump drive. An exhaust directs the gas phase from the pump drive towards the surface. The method includes the steps of intaking the gas phase into the pump drive, powering the pump drive using the gas pressure of the gas phase, pumping the liquid phase from the wellbore towards the surface by the first pump and exhausting the gas phase from the pump drive towards the surface.
Cette invention concerne un appareil et une méthode de mise en production d'un gisement par séparation du contenu de la réserve en phase liquide et en phase gazeuse à l'intérieur du puits de production. L'objet de l'invention comprend une première pompe d'extraction de la phase liquide et un dispositif d'entraînement de ladite première pompe. L'entraînement de la pompe est mû par la phase gazeuse sous pression prélevé dans le puits. Une prise d'admission est plongée dans la phase gazeuse pour l'acheminer vers le mécanisme d'entraînement de la pompe.
