A video switcher (10) advantageously affords the capability of executing a video effect following recall that avoids visible artifacts upon transitioning from one effect to another. At the outset, the switcher identifies active elements within the video effect, the comprising those elements that undergo a change during execution of the video effect, as opposed to those that remain inert during effect execution. The switcher then dynamically calculates offset for application to an initial key frame value for the video effect to avoid any change in value to active elements upon initial effect recall. The offset value is applied to each subsequent interpolation of the video effect, thereby creating the desired result of applying only relative changes to the active elements of the video effect.

La présente invention a trait à un pupitre de mélange vidéo (10) qui permet de manière avantageuse la capacité d'exécution de trucages vidéo suite à un rappel qui évite des artefacts visibles lors de la transition d'un trucage à un autre. Au départ, le pupitre de mélange vidéo identifie des éléments actifs au sein des trucages vidéo, comprenant ces éléments qui subissent une modification lors de l'exécution du trucage vidéo, par opposition à ceux qui demeurent inertes lors de l'exécution du trucage. Ensuite, le pupitre de mélange vidéo exécute le calcul dynamique de décalage pour l'application à une valeur d'une image clef initiale pour le trucage vidéo pour éviter toute modification de valeur aux éléments actifs lors du rappel de trucage initial. La valeur de décalage est appliquée à chaque interpolation ultérieure des trucages vidéo, permettant ainsi la création du résultat souhaité de la seule application de modifications relatives aux éléments actifs des trucages vidéo.
