A temperature-regulating induction heating system is provided which comprises an induction heater (20) having apparatus (36, 38, 40) for receiving RFID transmissions and an induction heatable object (22) with an RFID tag (50). The heater (20) includes a component (28) for generating a magnetic field, control circuitry including a microprocessor (32) coupled with the component (28) for selectively initiating and terminating generation of a magnetic field; the receiving apparatus (36, 38, 40) provides information to the microprocessor (32) causing initiation of a heating algorithm for the object (22). In preferred forms, the tag (50) and apparatus (36, 38, 40) are designed for two- way information transfer, thereby permitting continuous updating of the information carried by tag (50). In this way, if induction heating of the object (20) is interrupted, it may be resumed to nevertheless achieve a desired regulation temperature. Advantageously, the RFID tag (50) and apparatus (36, 38, 40) operate during intermittent interruption of the primary magnetic field of the heater (20) to eliminate transmission interference. The tag (50) may be equipped with one or more thermal switches (100, 104, 106) to provide better temperature control.
Cette invention concerne un système de chauffage par induction à régulation de température comportant un appareil chauffant à induction (20) doté d'un dispositif (36, 38, 40) de réception et d'identification de radiofréquences (RFID) et un objet chauffable par induction (22) avec étiquette RFID (50). L'appareil chauffant (20) comprend un élément (28) qui produit un champ magnétique et un circuit de commande, auquel est couplé un microprocesseur (32), qui déclenche et arrête un champ magnétique de manière sélective. Le dispositif récepteur (36, 38, 40) fournit au microprocesseur (32) des informations qui lancent un algorithme de chauffage pour l'objet (22). Selon des modes de réalisation préférés, l'étiquette (50) et le dispositif (36, 38, 40) sont conçus pour un transfert d'informations bidirectionnel, ce qui rend possible une actualisation permanente des informations figurant sur l'étiquette (50). Ainsi, en cas d'interruption du chauffage par induction de l'objet (20), ce chauffage peut redémarrer jusqu'à obtention de la température de régulation recherchée. L'étiquette RFID (50) et le dispositif (36, 38, 40) offrent l'avantage de rester opérationnels pendant des interruptions intermittentes du champ magnétique primaire (20) de l'appareil de chauffage, ce qui élimine les interférences de transmission. L'étiquette (50) peut être équipée d'un ou de plusieurs thermocontacts (100, 104, 106) et assurer ainsi un meilleur réglage de la température.
