The present invention relates to novel derivatives of 10-deacetylbaccatine III and of 10-deacetyl-14.beta.-hydroxybaccatine III, having cytoxic and anti-tumoral activity. They are prepared starting from the so- called syntons or from other taxanes of natural origin, by selective oxidation of the hydroxyl in position 10 to keto function and subsequent esterification in position 13, if necessary, with isoserine chains variously substituted. The products of the invention can be administered by injection or orally, when suitably formulated.
La présente invention se rapporte à des nouveaux dérivés de 10-déacétylbaccatine III et de 10-déacétyl-14 beta -hydroxybaccatine III, présentant une activité cytotoxique et anti-tumorale. On prépare ces dérivés en partant de ce que l'on appelle des syntons ou à partir d'autres taxanes d'origine naturelle, en oxydant de manière sélective l'hydroxyle en position 10 afin d'obtenir une fonction céto, et en estérifiant ensuite en position 13, si nécessaire, à l'aide de chaînes d'isosérine diversement substituées. On peut administrer les produits de l'invention par injection ou oralement, lorsqu'ils sont formulés de manière appropriée.
