An erection monitoring apparatus (10) for monitoring the tumescence of penis (20) of a patient, includes a plurality of spaced contact or measurement elements (30) operably coupled to the penis (20). The contact or sensing elements (30) include two spot electrodes, one placed at the base and one placed near the tip of penis (20) on opposite sides. A constant alternating current passes longitudinally through the penis (20) between the electrodes, and the potential drop across the electrodes is measured.
L'invention concerne un appareil de contrôle d'érection (10), destiné à contrôler la tumescence du pénis (20) d'un patient. Cet appareil comprend une multiplicité de pièces de contacts ou d'éléments de mesure (30), espacés les uns des autres et couplés de manière opérationnelle au pénis (20). Ces pièces de contact ou éléments de mesure (30) comprennent deux électrodes locales, l'une d'entre elles étant placée à la base du pénis, et l'autre étant disposée, sur le coté opposé, vers l'extrémité de ce pénis (20).
