In a method of treating a glazing panel installed into a surrounding frame, such as the frame of a window or patio door, a venting hole is drilled from an external face of the frame for proving air flow communication between the internal sealed air space of the panel and ambient, and a filter is installed to filter the air. If necessary, one or more tubes may be inserted through the hole, which may be formed by two intersecting holes drilled through the edge and side faces, respectively, of the frame.
