To avoid the phenomena of autofocussing and astigmatism in the amplified wave, the amplifier includes, in succession: - an input segment (SE) equipped with an input guide (GE) for guiding a single-mode input wave; - a diffraction segment (SD) comprising a first transparent medium (5) for the said single-mode input wave and capable of enlarging it; - a collimation segment (SC); - and an amplification segment (SA) equipped with an amplifying guide (GA) that is wider than the input guide (GE). The amplifier makes it possible to produce a high-power laser source supplying a wave with a broadened fundamental mode. Application in producing fibre-optic amplifier pump waves.
Pour éviter les phénomènes d'autofocalisation et d'astigmatisme de l'onde amplifiée, l'amplificateur comporte successivement : - un segment d'entrée (SE) muni d'un guide d'entrée (GE) apte à guider une onde d'entrée monomode, - un segment de diffraction (SD) comprenant un premier milieu transparent (5) pour ladite onde d'entrée monomode et apte à l'élargir, - un segment de collimation (SC) , et - un segment d'amplification (SA) muni d'un guide amplificateur (GA) de largeur supérieure à celle dudit guide d'entrée (GE). L'amplificateur permet de réaliser une source laser de forte puissance fournissant une onde à mode fondamental élargi. Application pour produire les ondes de pompe d'amplificateurs optiques à fibre.
