24004-52 ABSTRACT Disclosed is apparatus for merging containers, such as bottles, jars, or the like, that arrive slowly in a wide flow on one or more single or multi-track, endless conveyor belts, along a guide that is attached on one side to form a rapidly moving, uncompressed and serried series of containers on an endlessly rotating outgoing conveyor belt. The guide extends away from the incoming belt in the direction of movement, either obliquely or in the form of an arc, onto the entry area of the outgoing belt. The outgoing conveyor (6) consists of a curved transporter, the entry area (5) of which is either immediately or closely adjacent to the outlet area (3) of the conveyor(s) (1) and which extends through a curve (8) approximately in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor(s) (1). At least one guide rail (10) extends obliquely or in an arc shape to its longitudinal direction, above the outgoing conveyor (6).
