This is a anti-theft device to secure computer, fax machines, scanners, printers and other electronic devices that are or can be encased in a external case. This invention physically secures the device to the table, floor, or otherstationary objects so that it can not be removed easily. This device is to stop thieves from stealing secured components. The invention is fixed by either being inserted through a hole in the desk or screwed to the bottom of the desk or flagged to concrete or screwed to wood floors. A hole is to be made in the bottom of the computer case near the front and not where it will interfere with computer components. Washers are installed and a pad lock is then inserted through the hole in the device and locked. When the case is closed, this invention is not visible and can not be seen. This invention makes it hard for the "grab and run thief" from sealing secured components. The invention is rubber coated to ensure that components are free of static electricity.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif antivol protégeant les ordinateurs, télécopieurs, balayeurs numériques, imprimantes et autres appareils électroniques qui sont ou peuvent être enfermés dans un boîtier externe. L'invention permet de fixer physiquement le dispositif à une table, à un plancher, ou à d'autres objets fixes, de sorte qu'il soit impossible de l'enlever facilement. Le dispositif a pour objectif d'empêcher les cambrioleurs de voler des composants protégés. L'invention est installée en l'insérant à travers un trou dans le bureau, en la vissant au fond du bureau, en l'ancrant dans le béton ou en la vissant aux planchers de bois. Un trou doit être percé dans la partie inférieure avant du boîtier de l'ordinateur et non pas à un endroit où il fera obstacle aux composants de ce dernier. Ensuite, des rondelles sont installées, et un cadenas inséré dans le trou du dispositif, puis verrouillé. Lorsque le boîtier est fermé, l'invention devient invisible. Il est donc difficile pour un «cambrioleur à l'arraché» de voler les composants informatiques protégés. Le dispositif de l'invention est recouvert de caoutchouc pour que les composants soient libres de toute électricité statique.
