A disc brake assembly for a vehicle wheel wherein the wheel includes a hub journaled to an axle on the vehicle and a housing mounted to the vehicle, an annular rotor disc (10) within the housing and means mounting the rotor disc to the wheel which comprises an annular hub portion. The rotor disc (10) includes an annular peripheral portion (22) relative to an axial axis with an outer peripheral surface (20) and at least a first radial planar friction surface (12) on the annular peripheral portion (22). The rotor disc (10) has a plurality of circumferentially spaced-apart slots (26) extending axially through the peripheral portion (22) and inwardly towards the axial axis from the outer peripheral surface (20) thereof.
La présente invention concerne, dans un ensemble de frein à disque pour une roue de véhicule, la roue comprenant un moyeu dont le tourillon est monté sur un axe du véhicule et un boîtier monté sur le véhicule, un disque rotor annulaire (10) à l'intérieur du boîtier et un moyen permettant de monter le disque rotor sur la roue qui comporte une partie moyeu annulaire. Le disque rotor (10) comprend une partie annulaire périphérique (22) par rapport à un axe axial, qui comporte une surface périphérique extérieure (20) et au moins une première surface de frottement plate radiale (12) sur la partie annulaire périphérique (22). Le disque rotor (10) comprend une pluralité de fentes (26) espacées le long de la circonférence, qui s'étendent axialement à travers la partie périphérique (22) et vers l'intérieur en direction de l'axe axial, depuis la surface périphérique extérieure (20) de ce dernier.
