ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A dielectric liquid is provided comprising (a) a fluorinated, inert liquid, or a mixture of fluorinated, inert liquids and (b) a fluorine-containing, nonionic sulfonate ester or sulfonamide, such that the dielectric liquid has a dielectric constant intermediate or between that of component (a) and component (b) and the dielectric constant represents the relative amounts of the relatively lower dielectric constant of the fluorinated, inert liquid per se and the relatively higher dielectric constant of the sulfonate ester or sulfonamide per se and components (a) and (b) of the dielectric liquid are miscible with one another over the operating temperature range of the electrical device employing the dielectric liquid.
