Fire support of amphibic operations is important in order to meet existing military requirements for the use of military ships in coastal areas. Hitherto, guns used on ships had an amunition calibre of 127 mm (maximum) and a range of 15-18 kms. The aim of the invention is to integrate the tower (3) and the weaponry (15) of a large-calibre land gun (1), preferably the gun (1) of a tank howitzer i.e.155mm, on a ship (2). The gun (1) can be integrated in the form of a module into an existing deck structure of the ship (1). Shock- absorbing bearing elements (5) are used inbetween the deck (7) and the slewing rim (12) of the tower to enable the existing steel structure of the ship (2) to resist increased recoil forces. The large-calibre ship gun can transport different types of ammunition and carrier projectiles over a distance of more than 40 kms into the target area. By using land gun technology, e.g. the weaponry (15) of 155 mm tank howitzers, said guns (1) are no longer affected by ship-based disruptions.

Pour satisfaire les exigences militaires existantes liées à l'utilisation de navires militaires dans les zones côtières, l'appui-feu d'opérations amphibies prend une grande importance. Jusqu'à présent, des canons ayant un calibre de munitions maximal de 127 mm et une portée qui vaut 15 à 18 km étaient mis en place sur des navires. Selon l'invention, la tourelle (3) et le matériel d'armement (15) d'un canon terrestre à gros calibre (1), de préférence le canon (1) d'un obusier blindé 155 mm, sont intégrés sur un navire (2). Le canon (1) peut être intégré sous une forme modulaire à la structure de pont préexistante du navire (2), des éléments d'appui (5) absorbant les chocs étant mis en place entre le pont (7) et la couronne (12) de la tourelle et permettant à la structure d'acier préexistante du navire (2) de résister aux forces de recul élevées. Ce canon pour navire à gros calibre est désormais en mesure d'envoyer différents types de munitions et de projectiles sur une distance de 40 km dans la zone ciblée. L'utilisation de la technologie des canons terrestres, par exemple du matériel d'armement (15) de l'obusier blindé 155 mm, permet au canon (1) de ne pas être influencé par les problèmes propres au navire.
