Use of agonists or antagonists of the nicotinergic acetylcholine receptors of insects for combating endoparasites. The agonists or antagonists are compounds of the general formula (I): (see formula I) wherein: R represents: (i) H, or (ii) an optionally substituted radical selected from the group consisting of acyl, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heteroaryl and heteroarylalkyl; A represents: (i) a monofunctional group selected from the group consisting of H, optionally substituted acyl, optionally substituted alkyl and optionally substituted aryl, or (ii) an optionally substituted bifunctional group optionally interrupted by a hetero atom selected from the group consisting of N, O and S linked to the radical Z; E represents an electron-attracting radical; X represents -CH= or =N-, wherein -CH= is optionally linked to the radical Z instead of an H atom; and Z represents: (i) a monofunctional group selected from the group consisting of alkyl, -O-R, -S-R and -N(R)(R), wherein R is as defined above or (ii) a bifunction group linked to the radical A or the radical X.
