The present invention relates to devices and methods for securing a pair of suture lengths together or for using a single strand of suture to secure tissue (s) together at an operative site in a patient without necessarily tying a knot. The suture lock device (10) according to the present invention includes a suturing securing device having an outer body member having a lumen extending therethrough, the lumen defining a suture path through the outer body, an inner wedge member (40) axially insertable into the outer body member (20) to secure a portion of a suture between the wedge and the interior surface of the lock member, an outer tube having a proximal end and a distal end, the outer tube carrying the outer body member at the distal end of the outer tube, the outer tube carrying the wedge proximal to the outer body member, and a pusher member slidable within the outer tube to push the wedge into the lock member.
La présente invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés permettant d'attacher ensemble une paire de longueurs de suture ou d'utiliser un seul brin de suture pour attacher des tissus ensemble sur un site opérationnel d'un patient sans nécessairement faire un noeud. Ce dispositif de verrouillage de suture (10) comprend un dispositif de verrouillage de suture possédant un corps extérieur comprenant une lumière s'étendant à travers celui-ci, cette lumière définissant un trajet de suture à travers ce corps extérieur, un coin intérieur (40) qu'on peut introduire axialement dans ce corps extérieur (20) de façon à attacher une partie de suture entre ce point et la surface intérieure de l'élément de verrouillage, un tube extérieur possédant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale, le tube extérieur portant le corps extérieur au niveau de l'extrémité distale du tube extérieur, le tube extérieur portant le coin au niveau proximal du corps extérieur, et un élément pousseur qui peut coulisser à l'intérieur du tube extérieur de façon à pousser ce coin dans l'élément de verrouillage..
