A method for removing air from a suction roll/suction cylinder and a suction roll/suction cylinder including a roll mantle, end flanges connected to the roll mantle and axe journals for revolvingly supported the roll mantle. The mantle has numerous perforations, holes or equivalent openings passing therethrough. The suction roll/suction cylinder is connected to a suction duct that passes into the interior of the roll/cylinder and transfers a vacuum force therein. Air is drawn or sucked through the perforations into the interior of the roll mantle so as to press a paper web toward an outer face of the roll mantle. The suction roll/suction cylinder has a system of suction pipes connected with the suction duct and including at least one suction pipe into which air is guided and/or sucked from the vicinity of the inner face of the roll mantle of the roll/cylinder.
La présente invention porte sur un rouleau/cylindre aspirant et sur une méthode utilisée pour extraire l'air de ce rouleau/cylindre aspirant, y compris la chemise du rouleau, les brides d'extrémité raccordées à la chemise du rouleau et les fusées d'arbre qui supportent la chemise mobile du rouleau. Cette chemise est munie de nombreux orifices, perforations ou autres ouvertures. Le rouleau/cylindre aspirant est raccordé à une canalisation d'aspiration qui traverse le rouleau/cylindre aspirant de part en part et le soumet ainsi à une dépression. L'air est extrait ou aspiré par les perforations vers l'intérieur de la chemise du rouleau de manière à comprimer une trame de papier vers la face extérieure de la chemise. Le rouleau/cylindre aspirant est équipé d'un système de conduits d'aspiration raccordé à la canalisation d'aspiration et d'au moins un conduit d'aspiration vers lequel est poussé l'air extrait à proximité de la face intérieure de la chemise du rouleau/cylindre aspirant.
