A method and apparatus for testing a component such as a flow detector (12) in a fluid system, wherein a closed loop (10, 14) for flow of fluid in a part of the system including the component is established, flow in said closed loop is caused to take place, and correct operation of the component in response to such flow is checked.

Procédé et dispositif pour tester un composant tel qu'un détecteur de débit (12) dans un système hydraulique, comportant un circuit fermé (10, 14) pour faire circuler un fluide dans une partie du système comprenant le composant. Le procédé consiste à faire circuler le fluide dans le circuit fermé et à rectifier le fonctionnement du composant en présence de ce flux.
