The present invention relates to the use of standardized extract of Tinospora cordifolia as an immunoadjuvant in the treatment of renal disorders such as nephrotic syndrome and chronic recurrent urinary tract infections, both complicated and uncomplicated. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the standardized extract of Tinospora cordifolia. The present invention further relates to a method of treatment of renal disorders such as recurrent urinary tract infection particularly occurring due to relapsing E. coli, Klebsiella and other gram negative infections and to a method of treatment of nephrotic syndrome using standardized extract of Tinospora cordifolia as an immunoadjuvant in conjunction with conventional therapy.
La présente invention a trait à l'utilisation d'extrait normalisé de Tinospora cordifolia comme immunoadjuvant dans le traitement de troubles rénaux tels que le syndrome néphrotique et les infections des voies urinaires récurrentes chroniques, complexes et non complexes. La présente invention a également trait à des compositions pharmaceutiques comportant l'extrait normalisé deTinospora cordifolia. La présente invention a trait en outre à un procédé de traitement de troubles rénaux tels que l'infection des voies urinaires récurrente notamment se produisant en raison d'infections récurrentes de E. coli Klebsiella et d'autres infections à germes Gram négatif et à un procédé de traitement du syndrome néphrotique mettant en oeuvre l'extrait normalisé de Tinospora cordifolia comme immunoadjuvant conjointement avec la thérapie classique.
