A method for use in diverse networks that authenticates inter-network resource requests. A router in a first network receives a request for a resource from a second network. The router sends a query to an element in the second network to determine whether the request actually originated there. If the request did originate from the second network, the request is processed according to the procedure for the requested resource. If the request did not originate from the second network, then the first network terminates the request. Thus, no network resources are consumed unnecessarily by accidental or malicious requests.
L'invention concerne un procédé applicable dans divers réseaux qui permet d'authentifier des demandes de ressources entre réseaux. Dans un premier réseau, un routeur reçoit une demande de ressources provenant d'un second réseau. Ledit routeur envoie une interrogation à un élément du second réseau afin de déterminer si la demande en question provient effectivement du second réseau. Si tel est le cas, ladite demande est traitée selon la procédure relative aux ressources demandées. Dans le cas contraire, le premier réseau met un terme à ladite demande. Ainsi, aucune ressource de réseau n'est consommée inutilement par des demandes intempestives ou malveillantes.
