The invention concerns a method for producing oxirane by reacting an olefin with a peroxidized compound in the presence of a catalyst, which consists in introducing the peroxidized compound only in the first reactor, the subsequent reactor(s) not being supplied with fresh peroxidized compound but only with the peroxidized compound which is present in the medium derived from the preceding reactor and which has not been consumed in said preceding reactor.

Procédé de fabrication d'oxiranne par réaction d'une oléfine avec un composé peroxydé en présence d'un catalyseur et d'un solvant dans au moins deux réacteurs disposés en série dont chacun contient une partie du catalyseur, selon lequel on introduit le composé peroxydé uniquement dans le premier réacteur, le ou les réacteurs ultérieurs n'étant pas alimentés en composé peroxydé frais mais seulement avec le composé peroxydé qui est présent dans le milieu provenant du réacteur précédent et qui n'a pas été consommé dans ce réacteur précédent.
